5 Years XDi

On 31.03.2014, the day of the birth of my first daughter, the XDi – Experience Design Institute was founded – the evening before the website went online. Half a year later I travelled with my seminar case to Hamburg to give the first User Experience Design seminars in the Betahaus. With just a few seminars and a handful of participants in autumn 2014, XDi has developed into an internationally respected institute for the transfer of knowledge and skills around the agile development of products, services and businesses in the digital world.

I consider myself very fortunate to have trained more than 2000 participants from more than 1000 companies from all over the world with more than 200 courses. This was only possible with our fantastic trainers who, with a concentrated load of competence, light years of experience and full commitment, make every seminar day a special experience. And of course I would like to thank all of you who have come to us once or twice and put your trust in us – all of you who were our guests. You are our raison d’être as well as the reason and source of motivation to give our best every day and to do a good job. I would also like to use the hour of the silent celebration to express my regret to all those whom we could not quite give what they had hoped for. It has not always been easy with us, especially in recent months, and some things have not worked as I would have wished. I ask you for your understanding and promise to do everything to become better again and again to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible.

I will get on the plane to Bali right now to spend the first weeks of real holidays with my family for 5 years. I am really looking forward to that. But I am also looking forward to working on the further development of the institute after the time in Bali – this time and finally with the active support of an excellent and motivated team.

I hope you will stay with us in the years to come and continue to develop with us.

Carpe Diem
Stefan
