Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement refers to the website of the XDi - Experience Design Institute.

The XDi - Experience Design Institute strives to make its website accessible in accordance with legal requirements for accessibility. The requirements are based on Sections 3 (1) to (4) and Section 4 of the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), which was enacted on the basis of Section 12d of the Disability Equality Act (BGG).

 

Status of compliance with requirements

Compliance with the requirements was verified by means of a recent self-assessment.

The website partially complies with the above requirements, as the following areas are not yet fully accessible:

  • Older PDF files: Some older PDF documents are not yet accessible. Newly published PDFs are made accessible wherever possible, or existing documents are retrofitted accordingly.
  • The navigation and keyboard controls are not yet fully accessible and are currently being worked on.
  • The order form is not yet fully accessible. It is currently still being worked on.
  • Videos: Some videos do not yet have subtitles. For new videos, the aim is to provide subtitles as soon as possible.
  • ALT tags: Currently, not all images have ALT tags. These will be provided shortly.

 

Planned measures for accessibility

The XDi - Experience Design Institute is continuously working to improve the accessibility of the website and increase the amount of accessible content. An external review has already been carried out. Regular checks are planned.

Arbitration procedure

If your concern has not been satisfactorily resolved after contacting us, you can contact the arbitration board in accordance with § 16 BGG. This board provides support in conflicts relating to accessibility. The procedure is free of charge and does not require legal assistance.
