Activation and Placement Voucher
The "Activation and Placement Voucher" (Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein, AVGS) can be applied for and redeemed as soon as you register as unemployed at the Bundesagentur fĂĽr Arbeit or at the Jobcenter, for example, after receiving a termination notice. The AVGS is designed to help pave the way from unemployment back into the labor market. Its primary goal is to increase the chances of successful integration into a job subject to social security contributions.
AVGS-MAT
There are three AVGS vouchers in total. The one relevant to you is the AVGS-MAT, which lets you finance your participation in a program offered by approved training providers, such as XDi. The chosen program must enhance your skills and abilities, thereby significantly increasing your chances of successfully reentering the workforce.

have been unemployed for at least 6 weeks within the past 3 months- have not yet been placed in a job

What are the requirements?
The vouchers are only valid for a limited time. The exact period is set by the placement and counseling officer, based on the duration of your unemployment benefit entitlement. The voucher will no longer be valid if:
You take up employment subject to social security contributions
The unemployment ends without starting a new job / if you stop actively seeking work
You relocate to the area of a different employment agency
